Laboratory of Physics of Atmospheric-Hydrospheric Processes
The Laboratory of Physics of Atmospheric-Hydrospheric Processes was established in 2010 on the basis of the Laboratory of Atmospheric Ecology. The Laboratory was headed by Prof. I.A. Sutorikhin, then by Prof. V.E. Pavlov and now – by A.N. Romanov, Ds.Sc., Associate Professor. The main activities of the laboratory include 1) study of physical processes in the atmosphere and hydrosphere, as well as their interrelation in a wide range of spatial and temporal scales, including forecast estimate of water resources state in Northern Eurasia and hard-to-reach regions of the Arctic; analysis of probable environmental threats; study of moisture and precipitation regimes at the territory of the Arctic basin rivers; 2) study of drought processes in arid and semi-arid regions of Western Siberia, Central Asia, North Kazakhstan, etc.; 3) study of water resources state in the Arctic basin; study of drought processes in arid and semi-arid regions of Western Siberia, Central Kazakhstan, etc.
